About Us
We are TPM University
TPM University was founded in early 2025 with a clear mission: to elevate the discipline of Technical Program Management by offering expert insights, actionable strategies, and a vibrant community for learning and growth.
While demand for TPMs continues to grow across companies of all sizes, there’s often a gap in understanding how to fully leverage the role. Even TPMs themselves can struggle to define their impact within engineering-driven environments.
Based in Kirkland, Washington, TPM University is founded by Doron Katz, with the aim to bridge that gap —developing best practices through training programs, community mentorship, books, and certifications.
We are building a comprehensive ecosystem of resources tailored specifically for TPMs. This includes on-demand training courses, real-world case studies, community mentorship programs, books authored by seasoned professionals, and industry-recognized certifications. Whether you’re an aspiring TPM looking to break into the field or a seasoned leader aiming to refine your craft, TPM University has something for you.
In addition, we’re launching an open-source GitHub repository to house frameworks, templates, and tools that TPMs can immediately put into practice. We’re also laying the groundwork for meetups, guest lectures, and a member directory to foster deeper community engagement.
We’re just getting started. The coming months will bring new learning tracks, partnership announcements, and beta access to our content. If you’re passionate about shaping the future of program management, we invite you to follow us on social media, subscribe to our newsletter, and get involved.
Together, we can define what it truly means to be a world-class TPM.
Meet the Founder

Doron Katz / Co-Founder & CEO
As Senior Technical Program Manager, I am enabling software in our R&D pillar to support city, state, and federal reporting of incidents and evidence, and integrating with our devices. My other career highlights included delivering innovative products such as Filmmaker mode at Amazon Prime Video, building operational excellence at Amazon Halo, and building API platforms at Samba.tv.
I drive end-to-end strategy on experiment-driven product development, from ideation, competitive analysis, user-focused OKRs, product architecture, and validation, at scale across millions of television households, increasing opt-in rates by over 65%. I have defined and drove discrete components of a cross-product and departmental unification strategy, across engineering, marketing, design, sales, and product.
I am also a board member, and author of books such as Continuous Delivery for Mobile (Packt), and video courses on LinkedIn Learning.
